Sulfonic acid

Sulfonic acid or alkyl benzene sulfonic acid is an anionic surfactant in the form of a brown viscous liquid that is produced and used in Iran with a purity of at least 96%. As the name implies, this material is acidic and corrosive and should be stored in steel tanks. The raw material of sulfonic acid is linear alkyl benzene, which is extracted from oil in Isfahan Petrochemical and Kermanshah Petrochemical. Linear alkyl benzene, such as Texapen, is then sulfonated in sulfonation plants to sulfonic acid.

Application cases :

  • Chemical fertilizers
  • Mining and metal industries
  • Other uses
  • Greases and special products

Advantages :

  • In the preparation of TPPTS sodium salts used in catalysts.
  • In the preparation of alkylated benzene sulfonic acids, which are used as synthetic detergents.
  • In the preparation of anthraquinone sulfonic acid, which is used in the production of alizarin and other dyes.

packing :

  • In 20 liter packages

Warehousing :

Plastic tanks and fittings can be combined in such a way that sulfuric acid can be stored in it, reducing the risks of storing this acidic chemical liquid. Plastic tanks are the best choice for storing chemicals if there is no secondary tank. These tanks have double-walled walls to prevent accidents. The tank should be installed on smooth concrete, asphalt or steel. No rope or device should be used to secure around the tank, and ladders should not be attached to the tank.
